Hi, just got a ps vita, upgraded from psp. I have experience with hacking the psp, but zero experience with vita. From the research I’ve done it seems very complicated. Guess I’m just wondering if there is an all in one guide for doing this process on a Mac?

June 27, 2020: PPSSPP 1.10 is out!
PPSSPP 1.10 is finally here. Not to be confused with 1.1! 10 major releases since 1.0, that's quite something. Thanks to everybody who has helped and made this possible.
PPSSPP 1.10.1 additionally fixes a few commonly seen crashes. 1.10.2 fixes some camera-related crashes, and fixes centering on notched phones. 1.10.3 fixes further notch issues.

This guide will show you how to easily install homebrew directly to your PS Vita (without a PC) using the Vita Homebrew Browser by devnoname120. The VHBB uses the VitaDB database by Rinnegatamante for the library of homebrew apps. This makes it very easy to find new and useful homebrew for your hacked PS Vita.

Ps Vita For Mac
PlayStation Vita with Custom Firmware
- The VHBB requires a PS Vita running CFW such as HENkaku or h-encore
PS Vita 1000 (Fat) Models require an official Sony Memory Card to install homebrew
Wi-Fi or USB Connection
- You will need a Wi-Fi or USB connection to transfer the install files via FTP or USB with VitaShell
SD2Vita Adapter (Recommended)
Psp Vita For Mac Iso
- Greatly expand your storage options with the MicroSD to PSVita (SD2Vita) adapter
- Convert the PS Vita game slot into a MicroSD slot
- On your PS Vita, launch VitaShell and press the [Select] button to activate FTP or USB modeIn VitaShell, press [Start] and select [SELECT button] to toggle between FTP and USB mode.
- For FTP mode: enter the address displayed on your PS Vita in your PC file browser e.g.
ftp://xxx.xxx.x.x:1337
- For USB mode: connect your USB to your computer and it will function as a USB storage device
- SD2Vita: simply connect your MicroSD card to your PC and transfer the files without VitaShell
- For FTP mode: enter the address displayed on your PS Vita in your PC file browser e.g.
- On your PC file browser, go to
ux0:
and create a folder calledvpk
if it doesn’t already exist - Copy
VitaHBBrowser.vpk
to the/vpk/
folder on your PS Vita - When the transfer is complete, press [Circle] on your PS Vita to close FTP/USB mode
- In VitaShell, go to
ux0:
->/vpk/
then highlightVitaHBBrowser.vpk
- Press [Cross] to install it and confirm the extended permissions prompt
- Close VitaShell when the installation is complete
- Launch the Vita Homebrew Browser bubble from your LiveArea
Congratulations, you now have access to the VHBB; a large database of homebrew apps that can be downloaded directly to your PS Vita without the need for a PC.
Psp Vita For Mac Emulator
- Launch Vita Homebrew Browser from your LiveArea and wait for the UI to load
- Select the homebrew app that you wish to install
- Select [Download] and wait for the process to complete
- Close the Vita Homebrew Browser and find your new bubble in the LiveArea

- Autoplugin by theheroGAC is a collection of essential PS Vita homebrew plugins that can be downloaded directly to your PS Vita without a PC
PKGj
- PKGj by blastrock is a homebrew app that uses the NoPayStation library to download and install Vita, PSP and PSX game backups, DLC and themes directly to your PS Vita
VitaShell
- You can install homebrew applications manually with the VitaShell file manager
SD2vita
- Expand your PS Vita’s storage by using a MicroSD with the SD2Vita adapter and StorageMgr plugin
